For those who missed it last year, Sam Heughan introduced a concept called My Peak Challenge (MPC), which challenged individuals to select an activity, whatever that person wanted to to, be it losing a few pounds (in some cases, 100 or more!), running a marathon, or bagging a Munro.

Sam has worked with a team to put together a day-by-day nutrition program and a daily work out program for participants with varying degrees of physical ability.  In the program you will find different techniques for different exercises, in addition being invited into the Facebook group – which in itself provides much support for everyone.

Sam and JohnHalf the entry fee goes to support Sam’s chosen charity, Bloodwise, which provides research for blood cancer.  Click here to learn more about Sam and Amy,  a child with cancer.

How to enter: 1) follow @outmanders on twitter; 2) like and share my FB page; and 3) write a post on what YOUR #mypeakchallenge is or would be.  Click the “rafflecopter giveaway” link below to enter:

  1. My #PeakChallenge is to hike up Table Mountain in Cape Town. And if this happens despite being totally unfit at the moment (and not have to go down sitting on my bum because I get bad vertigo from heights) I’ll have conquered two challenges in one! 😬

  2. #MyPeakChallenge is for my 10 year old son and I to jog/walk the Crescent City Classic in New Orleans this March!! We’ve been training since January 2! Now my 9 year old son wants to train with us!! I’d like all of my children to train with us (I have 6) but the little three are too small.

  3. My peak challenge is the walk 5 km at the Bluenose in May. I am considering doing the 10 km instead if I can get ready in time.

  4. #Mypeakchallenge is losing the 40lbs I’ve put on in the last 8 years. I love to hike and climb and can’t wait to have the energy to spend my summer hiking!!

  5. #MyPeakChallenge is to loose weight & increase my energy by becoming stronger, healthier & more knowledgeable. Also, by being supportive & being encouraged by my fellow challengers.

  6. I’d like to lose 15 lbs and hike to the top of Cascade Falls (and down, since I do not intend to live there! Lol). Not a terribly long hike but fairly high elevation and rocky path which will be challenging with crutches. The weight loss is to get below a certain number which I do not feel like sharing.

  7. It is time to turn my attention to physical concerns and MPC would be a start. So my goal is to find a gym and go at least 3 times a week. If I do that then in May I want to try paddle boarding.

  8. My challenge is to do a 5 mile hike with my small local Outlander group in my area. Our date is scheduled in May, but the place is up in the air since we’ve actually been having snow this year. Hurray! The challenge part is to get as many to participate as possible!

  9. My Peak Challenge is training for the Tough Mudder event in Scotland this June. I’ll be joining @CahonasScotland to help raise money for their charity. I’m trying to save money for the trip so winning this spot would be amazing!

  10. #mypeakchallenge is to lose some weight and more importantly get my body fit again after years of medical issues and 2 surgeries in the last year that left me with very little exercise options. I am excited to rebuild and thank you for the opportunity to join #mypeakchallenge!!

  11. To get stronger and lose weight. My goal is to do 10 reps at 305 pounds on the hip adduction and hip abduction machines by the end of the challenge.

  12. #MyPeakChallenge is become stronger and healthier. Do sports (any kind) everyday and stay more active! I wish I have a bigger goal, but that’s a big thing for me to achieve, so I’ll do my best!

  13. #MyPeakChallenge for this year is to improve my nutrition/food intake. i decided on this goal for 2016 in october of last year, but i need much more support and guidance on this specific topic than i’ve had to date. when i found out that there’s a prep program that includes lots of nutritional support _including meal plans_ i started looking for anyway to earn/win a spot. my budget is just toooo tight for me to pay my own way at this time, so here’s hoping my name comes out of the hat!!!

  14. I will run a treadmill 5K. I am also trying to limit my intake of meat. Not cut it out completely, but reduce and eat more veggies and other sources of protein.
